PRISON BREAK TAUGHT ME A LESSON...

As an entrepreneur, one thing I have learnt is not to view things with an ordinary eyes. I also learnt to always put my brain at work. The entrepreneur school of thought also teach me to be proactive and see things in a different dimension.

I am sure some of you must have seen the movie titled PRISON BREAK? I was privilege to also watch the movie last weekend being my first time and it was a great movie I must agree. The movie taught me some vital lesson which I decided I am going to share with my friends. So sit back and enjoy as you read....

Let me kick start with the quotes in the movie which I tend to like so much.

1. When money is in line, trust no one.

2. I kneel only to God, I don’t see him here.

3. If you want to restore dignity, you need to take action, making amends requires much more than saying, “I am sorry” it means learning to change. The apology thing is that you display honesty, courage and compassion when you extend your apologies. You need to earn your forgiveness.

THE LESSON I LEARNT IN PRISON BREAK MOVIE.

1. Think smart.

Napoleon Hill wrote a book titled, THINK AND GROW RICH. Ben Carson Wrote a book titled, THINK BIG. Donald Trump wrote a book and titled it, THINK BIG AND KICK ASS. You will agree with me that this great Best Selling Author can’t be wrong by telling you to always think. Every great idea start with a thought and it’s paramount as an individual to always engage our mind to think positive at all time. Thinking alone will not do, but you have to think smart.

2. Have a strategic plan

“He who fails to plan will definitely plan to fail”.  If you must succeed in your endeavour, you must plan and plan well. Strategic planning will give you the edge in what you are about to do. Plan, stay and run with your plan to achieve the result you desire.

3. Never under estimate the power of a woman.

Men are logical in their reasoning, while women are so sensitive. They can sense things from afar; they have a soft spot on your prospect. A woman can be an asset to an organization as much as a man can be.

4. Communicate Effectively.

For your staff or team to perform at their optimum, Effective Communication is highly essential. You must communicate effectively with your staff, clients, partner and your customers at when due. Open communication must be one of your objective in achieving your organization goals.. No wonder most company today has an information/communication consultant.

5. Trust no one except God. Not even your instinct or your ability

Never leave God’s factor out of your business and personal life. The race is not to the swift,  bread not to the wise, chances and time happened to them all and also to who God has decided to show His mercy. In all you do, put God first. Your instinct, ideas and wisdom can fail you, but God never fails no matter the circumstances.

6. Keep most of your plan a topmost secretes most especially when you are doing it to be successful.

Learn to keep some of your ideas as a top secret. To become successful, you must never let them see your coming. Let your arrival do the announcement.

7. Treat a stranger as a stranger. Never let them get too close because you don’t know his or her mission.

Not everybody that comes to you have your interest in their heart. Learn to keep a stranger at a distance. You cannot tell if they have come to spy on you? Becareful of the kind of information you share with someone you know little or nothing about.

8. Never assume you know it all. Everyone has their own specialties.

Outsourcing is one of the things you must always consider. Learn how to delegate responsibilities. You can’t do everything by yourself. “No man is an island”.

9. If you must work with a team, chose the most intelligent people to work with.

One of the recipes for success in your endeavor is to work with people of your like minds. It is very important to employ the best hand to work with, when you do this, you’d make things more easy for yourself.

10. Together Each Achieves More. “TEAM”

Team work. Make this your primary principles for completing the task you have at hand. With the power of synergy, organization achieve more than having their team to work individually.

IT'S NEVER OVER...

I woke up very early today because there's a lot of task I need to do online. As I opened my laptop to begin working, I saw a notification popped up on my screen, and guess what? it's a post from one of my mentors, Mr Uju Onyechere. I got so inspired by the post and I believe it will be a best thing to share it with my loved ones.

It’s Never Over

Handel was a musical prodigy. Though his father wanted him to study law, he graduated to music at an early age. By age seventeen, he held the post of church organist in his hometown. A year later, he became a violinist and harpsichordist. By age twenty-one, he was a keyboard virtuoso. When he turned to composing, he gained immediate fame and soon was appointed conductor to the elector of Hanover (later King George 1 of England). By the time he was forty, he was world famous.

Despite Handel’s talent and fame, he faced considerable adversity. Competition with rival English composers was fierce. Audiences were fickle and sometimes didn’t turn out for his performances. And he was frequently the victim of the changing political winds of the times. Several times he found himsel...f penniless and in the verge of bankruptcy. The pain of rejection and failure was difficult to bear, especially following his previous success.

Then his problems were compounded by failing health. He suffered a stroke, which left his right arm limp and caused him to lose the use of four fingers on his right hand. Although he recovered, he remained despondent. In 1741, Handel decided that it was time to retire, even though he was only fifty-six. He was discouraged, miserable and consumed with debt. He felt certain he would land in debtor’s prison. On April 8, he gave what he considered his farewell concert. Disappointed and filled with self-pity, he gave up.

But in August, of that year, something incredible happened. A wealthy friend named Charles Jennings visited Handel and gave him a libretto based on the life of Christ. The work intrigued Handel - enough to stir him to action. He began writing. And immediately the floodgates of inspiration opened in him. His cycle of inactivity was broken.

For twenty-one days, he wrote almost nonstop. Then he spent another two days creating the orchestrations. In twenty-four days, he had completed the 260-page manuscript. He called the piece Messiah. Today, Handel’s
Messiah is considered a masterpiece and the culmination of the composer’s work.

Dear reader, are you on the verge of giving up? Have you tried everything under the sun, yet no success? Every one of us experiences failure. Just like Handel, yours truly have organized seminars where the participants were just my staff and I. Did I give up? Not in my life. Maybe if I did, you would not have been reading this article.
